Life is messy.

You don't have to figure it out alone.

Hi, I’m Amie — welcome to my little corner of the digital world! I’m so glad you found your way here, and I look forward to meeting you as a new client. I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO and a Certified Sex Therapist with ASTO in Ontario, Canada, with over 15 years of experience in mental health services.

I believe your story matters. My role isn’t to fix you, but to walk alongside you as you gain insight, build self-compassion, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and sustainable. You are welcome here exactly as you are. We’ll take the next steps together at your own pace—and I promise we’ll laugh a little along the way.

If this sounds like a good fit, I invite you to book a free consultation so we can meet (virtually) and see how we might work together.

Therapy Approach

My approach to therapy is warm, grounded, and very human. I’m good at listening—really listening—and at noticing the patterns people often can’t see when they’re living inside them. I take the work seriously, but I don’t believe therapy has to feel stiff, intimidating, or endlessly heavy. There’s room for honesty, curiosity, and yes, even humour along the way.

With years of experience, I know how to ask the right questions, slow things down when needed, and gently challenge what’s keeping you stuck. I blend evidence-based therapy with real connection, working at your pace and meeting you where you are. The goal isn’t to “fix” you—it’s to help things make more sense, feel more manageable, and open up space for change that actually lasts.

Areas of Concern

Here is a list of concerns I tend to work with clients on but
its more of a starting point, not a complete list!

Relationship & Marital Issues

Relationships and marriage can be challenging, even when there is love and commitment. Therapy offers a space to work through communication breakdowns, conflict, trust issues, and life transitions, helping partners better understand each other and build healthier, more connected relationships.

Body Image

Body image concerns can deeply affect confidence, intimacy, and everyday life. Therapy provides a supportive space to explore where these feelings come from, challenge harsh self-judgments, and build a more compassionate, grounded relationship with your body.

Sex & Intimacy Concerns

Sex and intimacy can be hard. They’re influenced by our past, our bodies, stress, and relationships, and when something feels off it can be confusing or isolating. These struggles are common, human, and nothing to be ashamed of.

Emotion Awarness

Emotions can sometimes feel overwhelming or we can disconnect from our emotions time to time. By learning to notice, name, and make sense of what you’re feeling, you can respond with more clarity, self-compassion, and intention in your daily life.

Family Dynamics

Families can be complicated. Therapy can help you make sense of dynamics from your family of origin, your current family relationships, and the future you want to create together. By understanding where these patterns come from, you can respond differently, set healthier boundaries, and relate with greater intention.

Values & Beliefs

Our values and beliefs shape how we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. Sometimes we hold onto them long after they stop serving us. Therapy offers a space to explore where these beliefs began, decide which ones still fit, and live more intentionally in alignment with what truly matters to you.

Something to know about me...

My path into therapy started with my own life. I grew up in a family where mental health challenges were part of the picture. There was care and love, but also a lot that went unspoken or misunderstood. I learned early how confusing family dynamics can be, and how much they shape the way we see ourselves, our emotions, and our relationships.

I was also raised in a Christian home, where faith and belief guided how life was understood. For a long time, that framework gave me direction. Over time, though, I began to question what I had been taught—especially around identity, relationships, sexuality, and what it means to live honestly. Finding my way out of that belief system wasn’t simple. It involved grief, fear, and a lot of internal conflict, but it also opened the door to choosing my own values more intentionally.

That process of questioning, letting go, and rebuilding has deeply shaped who I am. I know what it’s like to feel pulled between who you were raised to be and who you’re becoming. I understand how hard it can be to untangle beliefs that once felt certain but no longer fit, and how lonely that can feel at times.

In therapy, I bring that lived experience into the room. I’m not here to tell you how to think, what to believe, or how to live. My role is to help you slow things down, make sense of your story, and notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we look at what you want to keep, what you might be ready to change, and what kind of life and relationships you want to build moving forward.

I try to show up as a real person—warm, honest, and human. Therapy with me isn’t about being “fixed.” It’s about understanding yourself more clearly, feeling less alone with the hard parts, and finding ways to live that feel more true to who you are now.
